This Privacy Policy describes how the Assistant application ("Application") developed by Ryan Reyes ("Developer," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you connect your QuickBooks Online account.

1. Information We Access

When you authorize the Application, we access the following data from your QuickBooks Online account via Intuit's API:

Vendor/payee names	Pattern matching for auto-categorization

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not store your QuickBooks username or password
We do not collect Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or credit card numbers
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
We do not use your data for advertising purposes

3. How We Use Your Data

Your QuickBooks data is used exclusively to:

Display and categorize your transactions
Generate financial reports for your review
Apply categorization rules you define
Improve the accuracy of auto-categorization over time

4. Data Storage and Security

OAuth 2.0 access tokens and refresh tokens are stored locally on your authorized device. No data is transmitted to external servers beyond Intuit's official API endpoints. All API communication uses HTTPS encryption.

Categorization rules you create are stored locally and are not shared or uploaded.

5. Data Retention

We retain your OAuth tokens only while the Application is authorized. When you disconnect the Application or revoke access through QuickBooks, all stored tokens are deleted. No QuickBooks data is cached or retained after disconnection.

6. Third-Party Services

The Application communicates only with:

Intuit QuickBooks Online API — to read and update your accounting data
Intuit OAuth 2.0 servers — for authentication and token management

No other third-party services receive your data.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Disconnect the Application at any time through QuickBooks Settings → Connected Apps
Request deletion of any locally stored data
Request information about what data has been accessed

8. Children's Privacy

The Application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
